Gas-Driven vs Inertia Driven Semi-Automatic Shotguns

Semi-Automatic shotguns are divided into two main different types: gas or inertia driven. Each style uses different mechanisms for cycling the next round. Inertia-driven shotguns work by using the mechanical energy of the recoil of the round to cycle the bolt. Gas-driven uses the expanding gas to cycle the next round.

Gas-Driven Pros: Lower recoil, not picky about ammo
Gas-Driven Cons: Harder and more time consuming to clean

Inertia-Driven Pros: Reliable, easier to clean
Inertia-Driven Cons: Picky about ammo types, can fail to cycle if fired in unusual positions
